Manchester Reading group

Manchester Plato Reading Group is a philosophy reading group in Manchester. We read the dialogues of Plato out loud together and discuss them.

The Gorgias is our next dialogue and we will read Thomas Taylor’s translation. Anyone with a love of or interest in philosophy, dialectic, and lively discussion is welcome to join. The first session is on the 29th September, 2026.

Sessions are fortnightly on Tuesdays and always at the same place and time: the top floor of The Briton’s Protection Pub from 06:30pm to 08:00pm.
