DESCRIPTION:All that is divine is good\, wise and beautiful” (the Phaedr
 us) : this is the closest Plato comes to expressing the now oft-repeated s
 aying “goodness\, truth and beauty” attributed to the tradition. We wi
 ll look at how Proclus handles this triplicity in his outstanding work Th
 e Theology of Plato in this session in our new home in Manchester.\n\nTh
 is event is free but donations are encouraged\, circumstances allowing. We
 ’ll start the session at 6.30pm - please come to the top floor of the pu
 b on arrival. No need to book.\n\nThese evenings include short talks and/o
 r readings from Platonic writings – but we hope they will be genuinely i
 nteractive\, with all participants invited to contribute to our collaborat
 ive search for truth. No previous experience of formal philosophy is requ
 ired. Every effort is made to make these type of evenings accessible to th
 e newcomer\, while allowing the great profundity of the Platonic tradition
  to step forward and speak to us at whatever level our present understandi
