The first of five volumes of Taylor’s Complete Works of Plato, this volume includes Taylor’s General Introduction to Platonic Philosophy; a Glossary of Greek Terms; Olympiodorus’ Life of Plato; First Alcibiades with much of Proclus’ Commentary as endnotes; The Republic, and most of Proclus’ sixth essay (a defence of Homeric myth). Two of Taylor’s articles written after the publication of this volume, relevant to the above dialogues. Stephanus pagination has been added.
